Top 5 | Marathon Recovery Tips

Having just about come down from the shock of getting a PB in the Madrid Marathon I thought I'd share my insight into recovering after a marathon. I have to admit I'm possibly my body's own worst enemy when it comes to recovering (i.e. I'm not great at sitting around & doing nothing)! But when you've put yourself through your paces & meandered 26.2 miles in the heat you need to take a time out, don't rush back in -- you'll only learn the hard way by getting an injury and put yourself out for longer!

Travel To | Barcelona

One Week and I was sold. Having visited for a girls trip back in 2012, I never imagined that that 'one week' would lead to having the opportunity to live there for one year as part of my degree at university, and what a year that turned out to be! For anyone given the opportunity during their university life to spend a year abroad - DO IT! These chances don't come around very often, and what better way to spend a year than exploring a different country, experiencing a new culture and making new friends.

Top 10 | Sharing Plate Restaurants in London

'Small Plates', 'Sharing Plates', 'Can't decide what I want so going to order everything plates' -- whatever you want to call them, they're causing a stir on the London food scene. Whilst the concept isn't new, and the Spaniards can take full credit for introducing us to the 'tapas-style' concept it's definitely something that in the last couple of years has taken the city by storm. An abundance of places have been and gone - and a few firm favourites have remained. Whether you're looking for a night out with a group of friends, or an indulgent date night for two, sharing plates are my go-to! My indecisive nature will take full credit for this, and I'll make no excuses for it, at the end of the day who doesn't want to try a bit of everything? "Say no to food envy' and hello to an immersive concept of social interaction over the enjoyment of great food.

Travel To | Edinburgh

I'd be back in a heartbeat if I could. Maybe I am biased, but I couldn't think of better place to go to university. It's got it all yet it's contained enough to be able to make it feel like home over the 4 years I spent studying there. Edinburgh.. you stole my heart! This post in itself doesn't quite do it justice, and trying to limit my favourite spots to one post was a real struggle -- so don't be surprised if I add more over time! I have no doubt I'll be back to visit again soon, but in the mean time, here's an insight to some of my favourite places to eat, drink & sleep in a city that really does have it all.
